Treetops holiday chalet at Blue Anchor, Somerset
A detached holiday chalet right on the beach with fabulous views across the Bristol Channel, Treetops is situated on the waters edge of Blue Anchor Bay three miles east of Minehead in a perfect setting to relax, unwind and observe the wildlife, or just enjoy the stunning views over the Bristol Channel to the Welsh coastline. Alternatively, you can see the steam trains as they make their way along the famous West Somerset Steam railway, or take a trip on it from the adjacent Blue Anchor Station. The seafront at Blue Anchor is popular with walkers and fishermen.

Accommodation

Treetops is a detached single-storey chalet which sleeps up to four people. It comprises a large lounge with futon/sofabed, a double bedroom with twin beds and a separate bathroom (bath with electric shower over) and kitchen. The chalet also has the benefit of electric heating. It is situated on a private site with parking adjacent to the chalet.
An area of grass next to the chalet can be used for soaking up the Somerset sunshine!

Blue Anchor Bay

There are two restaurants/pubs close by, and the not-to-be-missed Driftwood Café is directly on the seafront. Hoburne Holiday Park has a well-stocked grocery/newsagents. Non-residents may use their indoor swimming pool, adventure playground, crazy golf course and launderette. Rod fishing from the seafront is very popular.

Directions

If coming from the North via the M5, or London via the M4 and M5, leave the M5 at Junction 23, Bridgwater. If coming from the west, leave the M5 at Junction 25, Taunton. An alternative route from London is the M3, A303 and A358 which will also bring you to Junction 25 on the M5.

In each case thereafter follow signs to Minehead. 5 miles after the town of Williton (about 3 miles short of Minehead) you will come to the village of Carhampton. Look for a right turn signposted 'Blue Anchor'. Follow the road up over the hill and down the other side. Immediately after the gated railway level crossing turn left into Blue Anchor Holiday Chalets. Treetops is the last Chalet on the left hand side.
